Wow! Really Pizza My Heart Pizza in JingleTown! Cools off kind of fast, but easily revived in the oven or toaster. Pickup location seems a little sketchy, but it's right next to a sheriff's office In any case, you can always get it delivered
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, I have been wanting to supporting local businesses at least every week, and on this second Saturday night of 2021, I decided to Aunt Rosella's Wings & Things for the first time. This is the third different restaurant that I have gone to in the Jingletown Eats location. I looked over the menu, and decided to get a Caesar salad and a large Meatball Grinder. The Casear salad had a nice bed of lettuce, with cheese and croutons, and it was very good. As for the grinder, it came in a nice Italian roll that the meatballs, a sauce amount of sauce and melted cheese that was perfectly cooked. All in all, a great maiden voyage to this establishment and look forward to trying the wings very soon.
On a rainy Saturday, I notice "Aunt Rosella's Wings & Things" appearing across all my delivery apps and Yelp. But there's no listing for the Jingletown Eats location. Well, let me fix that! "Aunt Rosella's Wings & Things" is a cloud kitchen at Jingletown Eats in East Oakland. Based upon menu items and similarities, I think I know who the parent restaurant is. But I'm not going to give it away, because food this good should stand alone. Today I ordered 1) Linguine & Meatballs w/ free rolls, 2) Cheesy Garlic Bread, and 3) JM Rosen Tuxedo Cake. Everything arrived in about 30 mins via Doordash from Jingletown Eats. The Linguine & Meatballs (large order) were delicious! Hot and fresh, meatballs were easy to cut with a fork. Pasta and sauce were perfect. Two free rolls included. The Cheesy Garlic Bread (1/2 order) was wrapped in foil and arrived still hot! You tear it apart into 4 pieces. You get the cheesy texture with a garlic bite. Not salty, and no powdery aftertaste. The garlic taste isn't really strong. OK, I actually ordered the JM Rosen Cheesecake, I got the Tuxedo Chocolate cake instead. So I'm guessing the cheesecake wasn't available. That's cool, no big deal. I know the JM Rosen Tuxedo (chocolate) Cake is good because I ordered it from Amici's Pizza (@Jingletown Eats) months ago. So why 5-stars? Because this is good food! It travels well as takeout. The pasta is delivered in a microwavable container. The foil wrapped cheesy bread could be heated up in an oven or lightly heated in a pan. The cake, well you might have a problem on a hot day. FYI: Jingletown Eats is a food prep facility with cloud kitchens. A cloud kitchen is a restaurant with no dining room. All transactions are done thru apps like Grubhub or Seamless.
